Pro-Q 3 Presets For Sound Design - Rob Walker's Musical EQ Settings

Audio professional Rob Walker contacted us recently with a great idea for how to tune sound effects to make them sit better with music by tuning them to specific scales and chords using peaking filters in FabFilter’s EQ plugin Pro-Q 3. Over to Rob:

I've posted this in a couple of places already....This is most relevant for adventurous post mixers and FX editors/designers - maybe some music producers too? - I made a set of 72 presets of chromatically tuned EQ for Fabfilter Pro Q3. The idea is you can cut or boost according to any defined musical scale very quickly, to either make your FX ‘sing’ a bit, or cut freqs to help get certain FX and atmos out of the way of the music. They are a set of 12 peak EQs tuned to the relevant musical scales, quick and convenient. They are also pretty cool just to play around with as a sound design tool. They respond very differently to tuned/noisy and short/sustained sounds. If you want them for free, email me using the button below.

Please read the info below to see how you can express your gratitude to Rob.
